Where did the first Tibetans come from?
The answer depends on who you ask. Tibetan traditionalists believe in at least two different origin stories for their people and how they came to be. Modern researchers have added to this body of knowledge by incorporating archaeological and anthropological evidence as well.
Today, we look at these theories and also meet our protagonists – the Yarlung Dynasty who would, in time, unify the country under their rule, forging the Tibetan Empire.
